This is a Bay Cafe Episode on my Bands Gumbo Jam. In 2007, The first Monday of the month we would host a blues jam at San Francisco’s premier blues club Biscuits and Blues where we  would make a pot of gumbo on stage while we played and invite members of the audience to sit in and jam with us. But before they grabbed a guitar they would have to add something to the pot of gumbo. After about ten songs we’d feed the audience the soup made right there in front of them. Music and food, so similar. A process meant to be a collaboration.
